Terms of Service

The ground rules for using BankHound to discover, plan, and track bank bonuses.

Effective and last updated

At a glance

BankHound is a planning and tracking tool. Banks decide who qualifies and whether a bonus is paid. Saving a plan here does not open an account, change your payroll instructions, or move money.

This overview is for convenience. Read the full terms of service below.

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of bankhound.com and its related account features, bonus trackers, planning tools, and content (the "Service"), provided under the name BankHound ("BankHound," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy separately describes how we handle personal information. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into an agreement, and permitted to use the Service under applicable law. If you use the Service for an organization, you must have authority to act for it.

Provide accurate registration information, keep it current, and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account. Do not share access in a way that compromises security or use another person’s account without permission. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. What BankHound does

The Service helps you browse offers, save bonus plans, organize requirements and deadlines, record transactions and payouts, and estimate paycheck allocations or rewards relative to your effort. Information entered into the tracker is generally supplied by you and is not independently verified with your bank.

BankHound is not a bank, broker, lender, payroll processor, or money-transmission service. We do not hold deposits, open or close financial accounts for you, initiate transfers, or update your employer’s payroll instructions. A bank-account label in the Service is a tracking record, not a connection authorizing access to the underlying financial account.

4. Offers, eligibility, and estimates

Offer amounts, availability, eligibility, deadlines, rates, fees, and requirements may change or become inaccurate or incomplete. Descriptions and summaries are provided for convenience. The financial institution’s current official terms control its offer, and the institution makes all approval, qualification, and payout decisions.

Before applying or moving money, confirm the current offer directly with the bank, including customer restrictions, location limits, qualifying deposit definitions, minimum balances, account fees, holding periods, application deadlines, and payout timing. You remain responsible for complying with those requirements and any applicable tax obligations.

Paycheck plans, timelines, ROI figures, and expected payout dates are estimates based on available offer data and the information or assumptions you provide. They do not guarantee that deposits will qualify, deadlines will be met, or a reward will be paid. A reward-per-hour figure compares estimated hands-on effort and is not a wage, investment yield, or promise of recurring income. Fees, taxes, waiting time, and other costs may not be included.

5. Information, not professional advice

The Service provides general information and organizational tools, not personalized financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Using it does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Consider your own circumstances and consult a qualified professional when you need advice about a decision.

6. Affiliate relationships and external websites

Some links are affiliate or referral links. BankHound or its operator may receive compensation or referral rewards when you follow a link and complete a qualifying action. That compensation does not mean an offer is the best available for you or that every available offer is listed. Review the bank’s terms and compare alternatives.

External websites and services are operated independently. Your use of a bank, payroll platform, Google sign-in, or other third-party service is subject to that provider’s terms and policies. We do not control third-party websites, their decisions, or their availability. Brand names and logos belong to their respective owners; their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of BankHound.

7. Your records and responsibilities

You retain rights in the information you submit. You grant us permission to host, store, process, and display it as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and support the Service, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

Only submit information you are entitled to use. Keep your records accurate and retain independent copies of bank terms, statements, deposit confirmations, and other important records. Do not rely on BankHound as the sole record of a financial transaction or deadline.

Reminders and notifications, where available, can be delayed, filtered, disabled, or unavailable. You remain responsible for checking deadlines and completing requirements. Do not enter full bank-account numbers, bank passwords, Social Security numbers, or security codes into tracker notes or support messages.

8. Acceptable use

Use the Service lawfully and without interfering with other users or the operation of the website. You must not:

  • Commit fraud, impersonate another person, submit misleading records for an unlawful purpose, or use the Service to evade a bank’s eligibility or anti-fraud rules.
  • Attempt to access another user’s information, bypass access controls, exploit vulnerabilities, or disrupt the Service.
  • Upload malicious code, send spam, or use automated requests in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Service.
  • Copy or redistribute protected content in violation of applicable rights, remove ownership notices, or misrepresent an affiliation with BankHound.
  • Collect other users’ personal information without permission or use the Service in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

9. Our content and intellectual property

Except for your submitted information, third-party materials, and separately licensed components, the Service’s software, design, branding, and original content are owned by BankHound or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the Service for its intended purpose while you comply with these Terms. This permission does not transfer ownership. Rights granted under applicable open-source or third-party licenses remain governed by those licenses.

10. Changes, availability, and ending access

We may update features, correct information, or temporarily limit access for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted access or that every feature will remain available indefinitely. We will provide notice of material changes or discontinuation where required by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion through the contact address below. We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation of these Terms, unlawful activity, security risks, or when required by law. Where reasonable and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow an opportunity to address it. The Privacy Policy explains information retention after account closure.

If we introduce paid features, applicable pricing, billing, and cancellation terms will be presented before you agree to purchase them. These Terms alone do not authorize us to charge you.

11. Disclaimers and limits of responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the Service and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that an offer, calculation, or reminder will be error-free or that using the Service will produce a particular financial result.

To the extent permitted by law, BankHound is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of or inability to use the Service, including lost profits or opportunities, missed bonuses, or loss of data. These limitations do not exclude responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer rights or liability for fraud or other conduct for which a limitation is prohibited.

12. Questions and disputes

If a problem arises, contact info@bankhound.com with a description of the issue so we can try to resolve it. This request does not prevent you from using any complaint process or legal remedy available under applicable law.

These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration, a class-action waiver, or an exclusive court location. Applicable law determines the governing rules and the courts with jurisdiction.

13. Updates to these terms

We may revise these Terms as the Service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. We will provide notice of material changes and obtain agreement where required by applicable law. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

14. Contact us
